Lindsey Childs-Kean, PharmD, MPH, BCPS, co-founder and advisory team member of the #PharmGradWishList interviews Joseph Washington, PharmD/MPH candidate, #PGWL sponsee and winner of the 2021 PGWL Post-Graduate Education Scholarship to support the financial endeavors involved with pursuing graduate pharmacy training. Joseph is a soon to be graduate of the University of Florida, pursuing a dual degree in pharmacy along with a Master of Public Health, and is fervently paving a way to make his mark in the distinguished profession of clinical sciences. Joseph has a drive to holistically change the landscape of healthcare, to provide equitable access to services amongst all populations. More so, Joseph has had the distinction of serving as the National President for the Student National Pharmaceutical Association, where he routinely amplified the voices of underrepresented minorities. Now, Joseph is looking to begin his career, building off of his clinical prowess, within the realm of health economics and outcomes research. Joseph is appreciative of the outpouring of support from the pharmacy community, who have devoted efforts to allow young clinicians, such as himself, the opportunity to continue to break down barriers and hurdles.
