Meet Jenna McDonough, a Meditation and Mindfulness Teacher, Sound Healer, and Reiki Master on a mission to bring tranquility and well-being to all. Her journey into the world of wellness began during her first week of college when she discovered the transformative power of yoga. With a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Florida Atlantic University, focusing on Communications Journalism, Jenna initially pursued her passion for teaching by becoming an Elementary ESE teacher. Although she found fulfillment in this profession, she also recognized the toll it could take on one's well-being. After a few years in the education system, Jenna decided to fuse her love for teaching with her passion for yoga, becoming a yoga instructor and delving into the world of guided meditations. Her dedication extended not only to adults but also to children, sharing the gift of yoga with both.As life unfolded, Jenna transitioned away from teaching to focus on her family. However, she continued to nurture her personal meditation and mindfulness practices, leading her to a profound appreciation for sound and energy healing. Driven by her natural teaching inclination, Jenna committed herself to mastering the realms of meditation, mindfulness, sound, and energy healing. She understood firsthand the importance of these practices in combatting life's stresses. In the wake of the pandemic, Jenna observed the escalating discussions around anxiety and stress, which deeply affected both adults and children. Witnessing this, she felt compelled to contribute to alleviating these states of dysregulation and the physical effects of mental distress. Jenna's passion for teaching others became an undeniable calling. Her ultimate objective? To serve anyone seeking a more peaceful and present life, regardless of their busy schedules, geographical location, or financial constraints. To amplify this mission, Jenna founded Soul Candy Wellbeing, an innovative app offering courses and a monthly subscription-based audio membership, with a focus on trauma sensitivity and education.Jenna's philosophy is rooted in the belief that meditation and mindfulness are not one-size-fits-all practices. She emphasizes the importance of discovering what resonates with each individual and what brings them joy, to create a sustainable and personalized practice that suits their unique needs. Jenna's goal is to empower everyone to live their most peaceful and present life. Hydration in Focus: The Role of BIOLYTE | Sports Pharmacy Podcast
Monday Jul 22, 2024
Monday Jul 22, 2024
Embark on a deep-dive into the fundamentals of hydration with hosts Dr. H and Kris Rhea in this episode of the Sports Pharmacy Podcast. We lead off with a discussion about BIOLYTE, a remarkable product developed to counter dehydration effectively. As we explore the importance of hydration for health and recovery, BIOLYTE stands out in its formulation and effectiveness, much-needed qualities in today's high-performance world. In the second part of our discussion, we examine how hydration impacts overall health. The human body is essentially a water-engine, with every organ, cell, and tissue requiring water to function correctly. While this fact isn't overlooked, oftentimes, it’s not adequately addressed, leading to health issues ranging from minor ailments like headaches, fatigue, to severe health conditions including heatstroke. Pharmacies and healthcare professionals, hence, play a pivotal role in disseminating knowledge about hydration's importance, especially in high-temperature environments. For more information reach out to Kris at Kris.Rhea@drinkbiolyte.com
